On Sunday morning, hunters found human remains in the woods near the 1200 block of Washington Boulevard in Pittsburgh, PA. Local authorities responded to the scene of the crime and detectives confirmed to the family on Friday that the remains are those of Kaylene Oehling.
Kaylene has been missing since January of 2020 and her family was struggling for answers.

HONORING KAYLENE. FIGHTING FOR JUSTICE.
After receiving news from the police, the family is uniting together to continue their Justice for Kaylene movement.
Friday evening, members of the Oehling and Young family visited the 1200 block of Washington Boulevard to place flowers, signs, and memorabilia in honor of Kaylene.
During the families visit to Washington Boulevard, a member of the Oehling family discovered more human remains. The City of Pittsburgh Police and the Allegheny County Office of the Medical Examiner responded to the scene of the crime. The family was impressed with the professionalism of the City of Pittsburgh Police as they thoroughly answered questions, showed a high-level of understanding for the difficult situation, and offered their condolences and support to the family.

Monday evening, members of the Oehling and Young community returned back to the crime scene as investigators were taping off the scene. The FBI Field Office in Pittsburgh, PA is working on the case along with Allegheny County Detectives.

Funeral viewing ceremony was held for Kaylene Oehling on April 28, 2023 at Bock Funeral Home in Glenshaw, PA from 1-8 PM.

Mass for Kaylene was held at All Saints Church In Etna, PA at 10 AM on April 29, 2023.
